This has been online for over a year, but I figured that since photos of me are so popular on the internet I’d share this video with you as well:

I was featured in the background of a promo video for the SOMA Grand Lifestyle condos.
You have to follow this link and fast forward to 1:00-1:10 but you’ll see me conversing with other trendy young condo-dwellers (actually roommates from my live/work space). To prepare for this I gelled my hair back and dressed as if I lived in a new LifeStyle Condo.

To be fair, the club room at the SOMA grand was very nice and we were given dinner and drinks in exchange for eating and drinking said dinner and drinks so it worked out quite well.

I haven’t posted recently, but if you noticed the Twitter feed on this site you probably guessed that I am still alive.

I got back from my world trip, went to google I/O, spent two weeks searching for a live/work space in San Francisco, and since June 11 I’ve been working on extensive rennovations to the warehouse I and 7 others moved into (pictures to come). Between drywalling and scraping adhesive off of the floor, I and my business partner Jed have been ramping up our business, Horne Nee Inc.

Craigslist to charge fees for brokered rental listings in San Francisco?

For one of my clients I regularly deal with posting for sale and for rent listings on craigslist to test out formatting issues. Today, after I submitted one post, I got the standard post confirmation along with:

Paid to craigslist 2007-09-27 — paymentID

real estate for sale Total to be charged 0.00

Is craigslist setting up the infrastructure to charge fees for brokered real estate listings like they have in New York? That would be interesting.

Update 9/29 - I’ve also gotten this response from posting rental listings.

Freshbooks takes me out to dinner

Preston and I had the opportunity to have dinner with two members of the freshbooks team. We both use freshbooks.com for tracking our work and billing our clients, and it happens to be one of my very favorite web applications.

Now we’re both pictured on the freshbooks blog. Preston and I ended up taking Mike & Sunir out to Zeitgeist, one of my favorite San Francisco bars, which is just down the street from Espetus, my new favorite San Francisco Brazilian steakhouse.
